This
is a format of the Prescriber Catalogue, which provides
a complete breakdown of prescribing by the subject for
the requested areas and enables the monitoring of prescribing
at quantity level.
It may be requested for any grouping from BNF chapter
down to individual preparation by quantity prescribed,
thus allowing the targeting of specific areas. It can
be requested separately or combined with the summary of
prescribing. The
following details are provided:
- abbreviated preparation description
- prescribed quantity.
The following totals are provided for each prescribed
quantity:
- number of prescribed items
- total quantity prescribed (ie prescribed quantity
multiplied by number of prescribed items)
- total net ingredient cost.

to England, Isle of Man, Jersey and Guernsey.
